Starting a Character
At this point the background for the world is purposely sketchy. Slavery is legal in a few of the countries, as is indentured servitude. To begin play all characters are slaves for one reason or another. They have been purchased by a woman named Astarte and she is offering the characters a chance to earn their freedom. All they have to do is
- Swear an oath to never attempt to harm her.
- Go to a wilderness area and return with something she wants.
- Not bring the authorities down upon yourselves for your actions while you are still her property.
In return for these things she giving you each 100 gold to purchase supplies, letting you keep any treasure you find other than the book she wants,and she is granting you your freedom.
What I want from players.
A description of the role you hope your character will fill within the campaign world.. whether stalwart ranger or angry druid.. or even just comic relief for the other players. At this point I have no restrictions on class or race
A description of the character , including the reason he is/was a slave. Possible reasons could be.
- Captured as a prisoner of war
- Convicted criminal.
- Captured by slavers
- Sold into slavery by family
- Sold self into slavery to provide family with money.
