Energy Weapons
Energy Weapons are old school. They fire projectiles that are propelled at a high rate of speed from the energy released. Hand held guns never held more then 16 charges. Larger weapons such as rifles and automatic weapons could hold more. All damage done by energy weapons is KA damage.

Liquid Propelled
Liquid (chemical) propelled weapons fire projecitles at a high velocity that while not armor piercing they are always penatrating. The normal projectile is non metal. These weapons allowed the first "Stun Setting" depending on the ammo used.

Laser Weapons
Laser Weapons can be found by almost everyone who travels in space. It's a very common side arm. Blasters generally support up to 24 charges per clip. They also have multiple settings including the "Stun Only" setting.
