Prophecies
Shortly after our arrival in the Tilted City we received two prophecies. They were delivered to us by giant crows. Haker delivered the prophecy of Virradin the Seer and Kesh delivered one from Motley the prophet. We weren't able to identify either of them but our best information is that they are "air seers" and probably live in or near the enclave where we awoke.
The prophecy of Virradin the Seer
Hail to thee son of man
Turned to stone by betrayer's hand
Arise arise from the past
Mortal blood returns at last.
Know that this is your fate:
Your blood opens destiny's gate
the answers that are in your mind
could bring an end to all of time.
The prophecy of Motley the Prophet
Hail to thee, hated by kin
all your troubles have yet to begin
for your arrival is just a sign
of the Quenn of Doom's retruning time.
Seek you out the Mandarin's gate
Master it to control your fate
The facts that sit inside your head
are the only reason you are not dead.
The meaning of the prophecies is, at least thus far unclear. At one point the two crows began to say that one always told the truth, the beginning of a classic riddle. It is unknown if this was confusion, subterfuge or the truth.
