From the Past

Factions

Sky Kings of the Broken lands

A alliance of enclaves of flying races based in the surviving floating cities. The flying princes consider themselves to be nobles above simple labor and raid other enclave for slaves and loot. A scourge of all those trying to create a civilization, but also one of the largest single cultures. Based around lone surviving Ivory tower.

Free city of Argon

A floating city that succeeded in a rebellion by crashing into a mountain, now a free city open to all for trade.

Death lords of the dark lands

A range of higher undead controlled enclaves. Since Jhan blooded dead can only be animated not transformed, each conflict between these surviving undead leave ever less of them, now only a handful of lich, vampire, and other assorted lesser undead survive.

Illilith

The mindflayers are here, but their prey is scarce on the ground, so their tactics of lurking on the edges of civilization, raiding for victims and loot is proving difficult for them.

Only their trade with the Sky kings for slaves and their digging for Harngard artifacts keep them here.

Baari Hiznar.

An emerging power of Beast clans bound together into a caste culture based on their reincarnations and belief in their rightful inheritance of the world.

The predators top the castes, followed by the most of the others, then the untouchable scavengers. Druids stand outside and above the caste as direct servants of Thiea.

Free enclaves

Small settlements of Elemental Ghen with a Jhan given God-beast worshiped to grant protection and clerical spells.

Free tribes

Beast-men tribes with a Thiea given totem-beast to protect their settlements from the Ghen God-beasts. Druids serve as priesthood, each druid serving all clans regardless of race.

Navigators Guild

Ghen, Outsiders, and Beast-men who possess and have been trained with a Parn Wayfarer's lantern that allows them to travel the border planes, and to guide others.

Twilight Traders

Owners of Parn traveling building. Shops that sell mysterious artifacts and disappear when you try to return them, Inn appearing from the mists in middle of nowhere.

Builders

Sentient Harngard Golems trying to rebuild the subterranean transportation tunnels of the Harngard Dictatorship. Underground dwelling Ghen Enclaves and Beast-men Clans have taken to defending them from attackers since they find these tunnels and stations useful.

Wizards

The Ghen accept sorcerers who use elemental magic as chosen of the Jhan, but distrust users of free magic, the beast-men clans just dislike all Wizards as power hungry warlords. Most wizards are power hungry warlords, gathering power and tools of the old ones to build up their own power, only cooperating with others so that they can later betray them, and only training apprentices to have useful pawns for sacrifice.

Magicians

People of Kentai descent who have inherited Imperial bureaucracy title allowing them to access the Kai manna grid for summoning and censures. Owners of Imperial seal can also access the powers of that office, as well as accessing the Road of Burning Jade.
