Ok I will hold the Mithril dagger for now.
By the way did you notice the map seems to indicate that we are coming to a "not place" or a "between place". It seems that the next site is north of there. The "hanging river"? I am not sure what all of that means but perhaps it indicates a rest stop between the sites. As for the hanging river, perhaps a raised irrigation system of some sort.

Hah, seriously? That's rediculous. No way

Thorn I think you should hold on to the mithril dagger for now. It doesn't make any sense for it to be sheathed when we could use it in a fight.

Paldo, did you see the markings on that grate?

I know that cousin, although lately I find myself preferring to err on the side of caution and paranoia.

Not everything is evil or dangerous you know.

Perhaps, but humans always seem to like all thier things too big to roomy. If that is however the case the case who knows what secrets it might contain. Knowledge should never be locked away in dark places.

Maybe it's just too big and they don't need all the rooms anymore.

Sealed? I wonder why anyone would seal a temple unles something awful happened there and left undead. Paldo perhaps we could offer our services to investigate such a problem? I will speak to the priest there if the chance arises.

I would be happy to visit the old temple. Gives me a chance to speak to the spirits after such a battle.

The lieutenant is in command of the Guard in the first gate of the new wall. Maybe something has been going on around the construction?

The Grand Temle is quite a sight. Never been past the low altar myself, and the gallery. I've heard that much of the Temple has been sealed since the days of the old Empire.

So first we see the Grand Temple and then we speak to Lt. Krosk and weigh our options. A visit to a temple and perhaps some prayer are never a bad way to start a journey for anyone.

One Thorn experienced is worth the whole wilderness of warning.

Nature often contains a duality such as the rose and Thorn.

Nature is often subtle but there is very little subtle about a Thorn.

I think it's our fault Thorn. The sign doesn't actually say he's getting a caravan. It says he wants people with talents to sell for a short job.

I think I thought it was caravan stuff, but maybe it's not.

Anyhow, I'd like to see the old temple and I'm sure a little churching would to Osoth some good.

On Apr 28, 2011 at 10:28 pm Thorn said :
Good sir, I am confused or perhaps simply misled by the bill outside the Red Lion. If lieutenant Krosk is not hiring guards for caravans, why should those with skills report to him at the Talgen Gate?

I would welcome the chance to see this fabled Grand Temple, oftentimes much can be learned in places such as that.

On Apr 28, 2011 at 04:40 pm Marcus said :
Your pardon goodmen, but I lieutenant Krosk. He's in command of the Guard on the new section of wall. He's not likely to be hiring for a caravan. I can show you where caravans assemble, and the nicer inns around there would be a good place to find a caravan master to arrange employment or passage.
While you're waiting the family is going to the Grand Temple to offer thanks for the providence of your arrival. You would all be welcome to come with us. I've heard that it used to be visited from travelers from all over.

I would happy to help you pick out a sturdy mount that can handle your brawn and that bloody huge sword of yours. Just do not advertise how much money you have to spend..and don't drink it all before we have your horse.

On Apr 26, 2011 at 03:40 pm Osoth said :
I can but I'm not a good judge of animals. Perhaps Thorn would be kind enough to help me with buying a horse and gear. What do you say Thorn?

On Apr 26, 2011 at 03:39 pm Paldo said :
You're welcome to help us find the lieutenant; after that it's all up to him. Do you ride? Do you have your own mount? With our recent windfall it might be a wise investment.

On Apr 26, 2011 at 02:53 pm Osoth said :
Well I would like to join you if possible. I'm not much for large crowds and cities like this bother me.

On Apr 26, 2011 at 02:39 pm Paldo said :
We don't know yet. That's why I'm looking for the Lieutenant.

On Apr 26, 2011 at 02:26 pm Osoth said :
Excuse me Thorn but what is this about guard jobs on the caravan? Where are they headed?

On Apr 26, 2011 at 02:20 pm Thorn said :
Well THAT was interesting and informative. Paldo how did you ever learn to contol a barbarian that way? I never thought you could teach them anything let alone to be useful in acrobatics. Now shall we see about that guard job for the caravans?

Excuse me good sir, might you be able to direct me to Lieutenant Krosk?
