All characters will be first level and somehow descended from one of the Heroes of Volturnus. You can choose any hero to be descended from, and whether you choose to share that fact with the rest of the party is up to the player. Each character can own some small memento of their ancestor (minor magic or small valuable) that was passed down and is identifiable as having belonged to a Hero. All items are of course subject to GM approval.
Races are of course limited based on the race of the Heroe’s and classes and characters are subject to GM approval. I would suggest that all characters be of good alignment or at least non-evil and that each character be designed to work as part of a group.
