A brief description of the characters and their motives (as described by the players):
- Photonya (aka Julie Lashe) - John
- Physically beautiful, flirty and fun loving. She's hot and she knows it and not afraid to use it. A bit sassy and cocky. Doesn't tolerate normals being taken advantage of, and she's very protective. A bit of a chip on her shoulder, that she doesn't get the credit/attention she thinks she should, regardless of whether she actually deserves it.
Her light manipulation powers are derived from a freak laser accident (rumor is it was Professor Perfect's fault..)
- El Train - Steve
- El Train is a brick. He grew up fascinated by public transportation, especially the Elevated Rail and actually worked for the El for awhile. He is not the brightest of heroes but he has a good heart and a strong back. He is strong and pretty fast on his feet. His costum is a dull grey with a big silver "L" on it. It was supposed to be a picture of an "Ell" but there was a misunderstanding. He is very protective of Star City and its residents.
Some folks think he's hispanic because his name is El Train and others have taken to calling him "Loserman" after a nickname given to him by Giles Kaser of the Metro Weekly news. He doesn't like either.
- Bravado - Joe
- A inventor of walking construction Rigs pressed into service as a superhero by the pressure of public demand after defeating a supervillian whose slugfest had crashed into the building he was working on and was destroying weeks worth of work.
Carl Martinez uses a bulky, armored, body Rig with varying attachments that clearly shows thier origin as industrial gear, except for the Rigs recent triple coat cherry red paint job.
- F.I.S.T. - Mick
- FIST is an ex officer in the Seals and later the Fleet Initial Strike Team. He gained his powers from the use of the Super Soldier Serum and is now a martial arts super hero with increased strength and reflexes. In his normal life he has been sucessfully operating a business called Frontline Security as a security consultant for people who have reason to expect terrorist attacks of any sort.
- Iceberg - Tim
- Matt(aka Iceberg) - Is a recent High School graduate, He works for an icecream company. One day he got stuck in the freezer and that is how he discoverd his power to manipulate ice.
- Jinx A.K.A. Gary Lacrosse - Keith
- Gary was an ordinary college freshman, who made one bad choice. He was pledged to a fraternity and was the last to make it through the hazing. What he thought was his initiation ceremony was actually a ritual to expel his soul and turn him into a puppet for the elder demon Chthon, the true patron of the group. Luckily for Gary the ritual was interupted. Some crazy blond chick broke in and started beeting the crap out everything that moved. Gary escaped, but not unscathed. His skin was bleached white, except for several black "tribal" marks. And he was now able to channel some of the demons chaos magic, just not very well. Thus Jinx was born.

- Bounding Boy! - Steve
- Sky blue hero with a bright future and a near insatiable appetite for action. His body is composed of an elastometric compound of unknown composition which he appears to exert complete mental control over.
