The back ground a series of 18 dungeons that would hopefully get the up 10 19th level at which point the final dungeon under the center city would open to the lair of the master of carosel.
Carousel was a gambling contest of a bunch of gods with a prize of godhood for the mortal winning contestant until the next winner seized the prize.
The current master scattered the games peices in order to keep his godhood permanetlly.
